"EH" Electrical Hazard Boots:
Wesco Electrical Hazard boots are special lineman boots
designed to provide additional electrical isolation to reduce electrical hazards.
They are designed to work in dry conditions. They are not
substitutes for standard electrical safety procedures
and their insulating abilities are obviously reduced when working in
wet conditions.
These are excellent lineman boots independent of their "EH" features.
In particular they have an excellent, sturdy instep design which is
stiff and also protects against penetration hazards. The roomy composite safety
toe is perfect for lineman boots.
These "EH" boots meet US ASTM F2413-05 MI/75 C75 EH PR and Canadian CAN/CSA Z195-09
electrical hazard and puncture resistance standards.
They also feature a composite safety toe. A lot of boots meet
some or all of those specs but, beyond that, these are kick ass Wesco
lineman boots. They are sturdy, comfortable, long-lasting and
made by professional bootmakers at the
Wesco factory in Scappoose, Oregon using the best materials available.
All of the "EH" boots are made with the semi-lace-to-toe
lacing pattern.

The Boot:
This is a special "EH" (Electrical Hazard) version of the
classic Highliner lineman boot
worn by linemen, cable installers, arborists and tree service
workers.
WESCO builds these boots on special lasts expressly designed
for
producing high quality work boots. The foot area is lined by a smooth
inner leather layer
which contributes to the strength and comfort of the boot.
This extra layer of leather complements the careful fit and excellent
arch support.
The boot's comfort is further enhanced by a cushioned foot liner like
those found in athletic shoes.
Our new customers are often surprised when they discover how
comfortable these sturdy boots are!
The composite safety toe use in these boots is very roomy...
your toes will not be cramped in these boots.
About the boots' sizing - how they fit:
These Wesco boots run true to your US Men's size. Order these
boots in your true size or ½ size larger to accommodate multiple
or extra heavy socks.
It's OK for these lace-up boots to be slightly large since the lacing
system
will ensure a proper fit. Being slightly large also gives you more
latitude in
choosing thicker or thinner
socks. These boots are designed to be worn with boot socks.
About the boot's height:
To determine where the top of the boot will be on your leg,
measure up from the heel of your stockinged feet along the back of
your leg.
This should be done while in a seated position with the knee bent at a
90 degree angle.
The initial height of these lineman
boots will be 1" shorter than specified.
e.g. if you order a 16" boot, it will come up 15" from your heel. This
is normal
for ALL lace-up boots. Read about this in our Boot FAQ
here.
As they break in, these boots drop in height a bit because of
creasing at the ankles.
To convert from Centimeters to inches, divide the height
in Centimeters by 2.54.
