With the new Arcona 435, Arcona Yachts from Sweden is trying to build on the success of the Arcona 430, which won the European Yacht of the Year title in 2009.
With the Arcona 435, the Swedish shipyard is launching a fast and easy to sail cruiser on the market that is aimed at a sporty and ambitious clientele. The Arcona 435 was nominated as "European Yacht of the Year 2019" by an international jury, so it has a good chance of continuing the success of its predecessor.
Performance and comfort Designer Stefan Oviberg was asked to design a yacht that would appeal to owners who don't want to compromise on sailing performance and comfort on board. The new Arcona 435 was a successful implementation. She has an efficient sail design and a low weight with high stability and thus offers good performance without sacrificing comfort below deck.
Freedom of movement on deck The stern of the Arcona 435 is comparatively wider than its predecessor and offers more space in the saloon as well as a larger cockpit and more stability. The cockpit of the Arcona 435, equipped with a retractable table, is available with an open or semi-open transom and offers plenty of space and freedom of movement. The wide side decks allow safe working on the overall tidy deck. Equipped with a lead bow and wide stern, the 435 offers high speed potential and comfortable sailing characteristics.
Comfortable and spacious Below deck, the 435 remains true to the typical features of Arcona Yachts. The interior is characterised by high-quality woodwork in a traditional, light Scandinavian design. The width of 3.98 metres offers space for a large, inviting saloon and a spacious kitchen, without restricting the freedom of movement below deck. Three comfortable double cabins (one forward, two aft) provide ample sleeping and storage space for up to six people on board. Two bathrooms with shower units complete the facilities below deck. The Arcona 435 is a boat that wins regattas on a weekend and then safely and comfortably takes the family on holiday trips.
