A jury of seven European yachting magazines, including Motor, has twenty-five boats nominated for the title of European Powerboat of the Year 2013. There will eventually five awards are granted for five different categories. The winners will be announced in January, during Boot Düsseldorf.

The nominated boats are divided into four categories length and a special category for displacement boats. In the 'Displacement Yachts' Three Dutch boats nominated: The Jetten 44 Sedan, the New Linssen Classic Sturdy 28 Sedac and Sturiër 620 CS. The two other boats in this category are the Grand Banks 54 EU and a trawler: the Garcia GT54. Last year, the Award in the category Displacement Yachts to Bruijs Coaster 14.00 OC.

With three ships nominated Netherlands is traditionally strongly represented in the category Displacement Yachts. Jetten Yachting Sneek out thanks the European nomination for the 44 Sedan especially to the innovative way in which this boat is built and landscaped. A traditional Dutch boat, built with both a sense of tradition and innovation, according to the European panel.
