Oceanvolt SD8.6 electric propulsion system received a Special Mention in the METS 2012 trade show held in November in Amsterdam. SD8.6 was competing in the same "Machine, propulsion, mechanical and electrical systems and fittings" -
category as the overall Dame winner Torqeedo Deep Blue electric outboard. The Jury felt that the Oceanvolt SD8.6 was notable for being both compact and yet cleverly
