Presentation on recreational boats with e-drives at the international trade fair for energy storage in Düsseldorf.
Sport boats and yachts with electric drives are becoming increasingly popular. The reasons: greater environmental awareness throughout society and stricter environmental regulations. How efficient and safe an electric boat drive is depends not least on the power storage unit, the core element of electrification. But storage systems can also play to their strengths in production: They reduce peak loads and, in combination with solar systems, enable higher consumption of self-generated electricity by the company itself.
From 12th to 14th March, 2019, boat and yacht builders can find out more about battery technologies for drives and stationary storage systems for production at the ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE in Düsseldorf, the leading international trade fair for the energy storage industry. On the second day of the fair, 13th March, 2019 at 3 p.m., the boatyard Frauscher Boats will report on their experiences with electric boats in a short presentation (free-of-charge) in the ESE Forum of Hall 8b.
The environmental impact of climate and health-damaging exhaust gases has encouraged widespread realisation that in the future, conventional combustion engines should no longer be used in motor vehicles; electric or hybrid engines are presently the most popular alternatives.
