OFT in the Water Pixel World at boot Düsseldorf

boot Düsseldorf has been a partner of the International OCEAN FILM TOUR since 2015 and provides its organisers a forum in the Water Pixel World every January during the fair. At boot 2020, the team will once again present daily screenings of the best ocean adventures from previous years and water sports films on the big screen of the theme world in Hall 4. From 18th to 26th January, you will also have the opportunity to talk to the team on site and find out the latest information about the upcoming tour and much more about current developments in the project.

Volume 6 - on tour since March 2019

Since March 2019 a new edition of the popular film tour has been captivating water and nature lovers with its selected and visually stunning documentaries. The International OCEAN FILM TOUR Vol. 6 is on a world tour across Europe, Australia and the USA with more than 130 events! The official trailer provides you with a preview:

Sustainability & Conservation
A major theme for boot Düsseldorf

The International OCEAN FILM TOUR is more than just a film programme. It wants to show the beauty of the sea not only on the big screen. It also aims to help preserve it: To this end, the makers will not only show films in the programme that raise awareness for this topic, but will also show what each of us can do in everyday life to reduce the pollution of the seas with plastic waste. In addition, the Interantional OCEAN FILM TOUR presents projects, organisations and initiatives that have devoted themselves to the subject of plastic waste.

For boot Düsseldorf as a partner of the International OCEAN FILM TOUR, the topic of sustainability in water sports is an important concern as well. Both the "ocean tribute" Award 2020 and the "love your ocean" booth - also in Hall 4 of boot 2020 - are intended to promote the protection of oceans and other water bodies, as well as the more sustainable and careful use of resources. Many nature conservation organisations also use boot Düsseldorf as a forum to present existing and current projects.
