For the very special dream destinations such as the Caribbean, the South Seas or the Seychelles, circumnavigator Mareike Guhr is the right contact. She knows her way around all the oceans and passionately describes the most beautiful anchorages on our planet. She is also happy to provide information about the North Sea, the Baltic Sea and many areas of the Mediterranean.
She is an experienced skipper, sailing journalist and the blue water expert in the team. Therefore she is happy to advise long-distance sailors and those who want to become one. As an enthusiastic multihull sailor, she is also an expert for catamaran cruises.
The Hamburg native learned to sail on her family's own trimarans and has been sailing on all oceans with a wide variety of ships for over 30 years. The book authoress ("Blau Türkis Grün") was a skipper for charter agencies, led many crews on cruises and regattas and sailed often with pure women teams. The promotion and training of women is particularly important to her.
Now the Hamburg native is once again on a long voyage with her catamaran "Moana", having spent 2020 in the Caribbean and sailed the US East Coast in 2021. For "boot 2022" she will travel from the Bahamas. More info about Mareike Guhr at www.magsail.de
Rainer Holtorff has been sailing as a professional skipper for private owners, travel companies, sailing schools and corporations on yachts up to 120 feet for over 20 years. He has now skippered over 90 different yachts, including quite a few long-distance trips, in many areas of the world. He is a sport ocean skipper, Yachtmaster Offshore, and in 2013 became the first non-Englishman to be named Yachtmaster-Of-The-Year by the Royal Yachting Association. Most recently, he has been transferring vessels in the Atlantic, giving skipper training, or handling cruise planning and operations in his company. More information at www.yachtskipper.de

Bernard Schwab is also a member of the Boat Trip Advisory team. He likes to encourage and advise newcomers to chartering. Among other things, he has already written down his knowledge in his well-known beginners' primer on the subject of yacht charter, which is aimed specifically at those skippers who are chartering for the first time and would like to prepare for their trip in more detail in advance.
Bernard Schwab mainly cruises in the Mediterranean and works out excellent cruise plans for the South of France as well as the Greek, Croatian and Italian islands, which he knows well from countless cruises. But he also seeks variety in other areas such as the Azores, the Danish South Sea (which is on his doorstep) or the archipelago off Stockholm.

Jürgen Straßburger - Expert for Croatia, European inland waters and beginner topics
Since the 1970s, the journalist, born in 1945, has been on the water - under sail and under motor. After numerous passage trips to the Mediterranean, he turned his hobby into a profession at the end of the 1980s: He took over the helm of the travel section at the motorboat magazine BOOTE, which he headed until 2010. Since 2010 he has been working as a freelance water sports author: He has published several inland guides and two coastal handbooks on Croatia. For BOOTE, he continues to write regularly on the topic of getting started in water sports."
Jürgen Straßburger advises motorboat drivers on all areas in inland waters in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy and on the Danube up to and including Budapest.
