Pure suspense and breathtaking action
Hall 17 has a variety of highlights to offer that you can't miss during your visit to boot Düsseldorf. Surfing, no matter what kind, enchants with lots of spectacular tricks and stunts at the many daily shows or the professional contests on the weekends.
Wingfoiling, wakeboarding and skimboarding in one hall
Meter-high jumps at the daily wakeboard show or the coolest tricks of the pros on our skimboard track. Brand new, the daily wingfoil show, which becomes a real spectacle thanks to the 34 wind machines.
Tow-in windsurfing and foiling action on the flatwater pool
For the first time you can experience a wingfoiling and pumpfoling show on our big water pool. This world premiere is an absolute MUST for every surfer. Before and after the wakeboard and SUP professionals will show you what is possible with their sports equipment. As a special highlight, the Pooltastic Wakeboard Contest awaits you on the second weekend, where crazy jumps on the cable are pre-programmed.

The wingfoiler uses his inflated wing for propulsion and a hydrofoil under his surfboard to reduce water resistance. Surfers who are on the water without a hydrofoil but with a wing are therefore called wingsurfers.

What is Flatland Skimboarding? Flatland Skimboarding is a mixture of skateboarding and surfing. It combines the action of skateboarding and the serenity of surfing. The sport is based on aquaplaning. Usually you go skimboarding on the beach, river, stream or lake shore. Or else one uses a skimpool.
Who will be performing at boot 2023? Lydia Blanke (23) is appearing with her husband Semjon Szillat (25). Lydia discovered the sport for herself three years ago. Semjon has been on the board for nine years. The couple competes all over Europe. They are both professional skimboarders for leading skimboard producers. In 2021, the pair won the European Skimboarding Cup.
Niche sport Flatland skimboarding is still a niche sport. However, it has the potential to become a new popular trend sport, making those involved from the beginning pioneers.
