Postponement of boot Düsseldorf 2021 to 17th to 25th April 2021
boot Düsseldorf 2021 will be held from17th to 25th April 2021. The original dates from 23 to 31January could not be used due to the ongoing high infection numbers across all of Europe.Messe Düsseldorf has postponedboot after close consultation with its partners and exhibitors who endorse this decision and have opted in favour of the new dates. Announcing the new dates early on Messe Düsseldorf also gives exhibitors planning security for preparing their trade fair participation and transporting their boats and yachts.
All parties involved are working on solutions to all open questions and the project team is available to answer individual requests for information for all exhibitors.
Why was boot postponed specifically to these dates in April 2021?
We have discussed the few optional dates for 2021 with the associations and exhibitor representatives and taken a joint decision on these dates. Under the current conditionsApril 2021brings the greatest planning security possible for all parties involved. Now exhibitors can focus on the new dates and gear their trade fair preparations to them. What is more, there are no direct overlaps with other trade fairs in this period of the year. On top of this, the dates17th to 25th April 2021with expected higher temperatures offer the possibility of shifting more activities at boot 2021 to our ample outdoor premises. Moving boot to April will also accommodate the purchasing and booking behaviour of many water sports enthusiasts. Statementsfrom numerous experts have led us to believe that it is highly probable the situation will calm down in nearly all European countries by spring 2021 on account of the measures currently in place. With CARAVAN SALON in September 2020 we have already demonstrated that trade fairs can also be held successfully in Corona times while offering all parties involved the greatest possible protection. boot is already well booked at this stage and we expect further confirmations for the new dates.
How does the postponement affect the following dates of boot?
boot Düsseldorf will return to its customary dates in the trade fair agenda from2022 and again kick off the annual trade fair cycle in January.
How do you go about confirmed registrations?
Registrations will remain valid and we will carry over the registrations made for January to April 2021. Exhibitors do not have to take any action. Exhibitors of boot 2020, who have not registered for boot 2021 due to the current situation, are still welcome to do that.
Will exhibitors receive the same stand space at the next event?
We will largely retain the hall layout for the dates 17th to 25th April 2021, too. Any changes will be discussed individually and personally with the concerned exhibitors by the project Team colleagues.
Will exhibitors receive assistance for communication with their customers?
Attached to our exhibitor mailing about the postponement exhibitors will also receive the link to the official press release for that matter. Exhibitors are welcome to use the aspects voiced there for their communication with customers.
What can those exhibitors do who have already withdrawn and would now like to re-register for the new dates?
Feel free to contact the person attending to you in the boot Team by e-mail. The old registration will then be reactivated. The contact person in charge of the segments Boats, Yachts and the Super Yacht Industry is Mr Arne von Heimendahl (heimendahla@messe-duesseldorf.de). With the OOS we provide our official trade fair service partners with the technical sales platform. Customers conclude contracts with these partners and should clarify any possibly cancellation directly with them.
Will you compensate your customers for costs incurred so far from booked flights and train tickets, hotel accommodation etc.?
We understand the difficult situation resulting from the postponement. Please contact the respective provider to clarify open questions and find solutions. We are unable toprovide information on contracts between customers and third-party providers, as these have not been entered into with Messe Düsseldorf.
