The German SUP Challenge is the largest Stand Up Paddling event series in Germany, which is held at several tour stops in Germany every year. boot Düsseldorf is delighted to support the development of SUP in Germany as a sponsor of the tour.
At the individual stops of the German SUP Challenge the participants have to prove their skills in three disciplines: Technical Race, Wave and Long Distance. Anyone who enjoys SUP is eligible to participate in the German SUP Challenge. However, you have to be prepared to compete against the professionals of the scene, as the German SUP Challenge also includes the German Championships in Stand Up Paddling.
All participants of the German SUP Tour also have the opportunity to win points for the SUP League, as the competitions are held under the umbrella of the SUP Alliance Germany (SUPAG). Behind the SUP League is the SUP Bundesliga of all clubs and associations united in the SUPAG.
Qualifying for the World Cup team
Besides ranking points for the German SUP League, the Pro Races this year will also be about qualifying for the national team for the ISA SUP World Championship 2018 in Brazil. So this year's professional races can be expected to be particularly exciting and challenging.

The first tour stop of the German SUP Challenge 2018 will be the SUP Marathon in Kiel on June 3rd 2018. The SUP Half Marathon in Kiel, which is paddled over a distance of 21 kilometres, serves as qualifier for the ISA World Championship 2018 in the SUP Long Distance discipline.
The event on the Kieler Förde is aimed at both single athletes as well as real team players, as the distance may be mastered in a relay system with four paddlers per team or individually as a real marathon.
The grand finale of the German SUP Challenge 2018 will take place on the North Sea island of Norderney for the first time as part of the Summertime Norderney Festival.
The final tour stop of the Germann SUP Challenge on Norderney is a decisive event for the racers in their hunt for the overall title, classified as a four-star event at which the winner can earn a whopping 4,000 points. In addition, the SUP Tech Race is also a qualifying race for the national team for the ISA World Championships 2018.
The German SUP Challenge was held for the first time in 2010, organised by Superflavor. The SUP Challenge is the largest Stand Up Paddle event series in Germany with over 40 tour stops in recent years. It found great recognition both nationally and internationally due to the different formats of competition. It has been and still is the venue of various German Championships and the SUP World Cup. Objectives
In addition to the Pro Races, the GSC offers everyone, including kids, competitions on free SUP boards. While the Pro Races are about hard but fair competitions, everyone's races are about fun and a shared experience.
