The huge success of the AMEL 50 (European Yacht of the Year 2018; 30 units sold in the first year!) immediately triggered the demand for a big sister. So it is not surprising that AMEL is now making this wish come true!
Typical Amel features
The Amel 60 is fully suitable for single-handed use and offers maximum comfort. It has a very high safety factor and is virtually unsinkable due to several watertight collision bulkheads. In its completely covered cockpit there is a protected steering position from which the Amel can be kept on course even in heavy weather. The large engine room is centrally accessible. Of course there is also enough storage space below deck.
A real Amel
Although it is four feet smaller than its predecessor, the Amel 64, the space available - due to the long waterline - is hardly less than that of the 64. On the other hand, the boat is even more handy, easier to manoeuvre and faster. In addition to the well-balanced hull shape, the standard carbon rollmast is responsible for this - an absolute novelty in this segment of blue water suitable cruising yachts!
But the Amel 60 also impresses with its extensive and high-quality standard equipment: the standard specification includes a lithium service battery, electric winches, a retractable bow thruster, various navigation electronics including autopilot, carbon gangway, washing machine, dishwasher and much more!
Huge owner suite
In the layout besides the usual huge owner suite there are two spacious and equally luxurious guest cabins, each with its own bathroom.
After its world premiere at the Cannes Boat Show in September 2019, the Amel 60 will be available at AMEL's own Mediterranean base in southern France for sightseeing and test drives.
