Malibu in the USA is showcasing as European premieres at boot Düsseldorf 2016 two new towboats for wakeboarders: the 7.6 m long 25 LSV and the M 235 with a length of 7.16 m. Unlike a water ski boat with its centrally located inboard engine, both of these have their engines at the stern with a V-drive, a shaft system at first leading forward and, in the middle of the boat, deflecting in a V to aft.
Rear-view camera at the helm The propeller mounted on it is directed at the rudder, which is effective even when motoring slowly. Above the engine there is space for a sunpad, and the cockpit itself is free of an engine box. The two have a stern, aft-facing bench at the bathing platform, giving them a fine view of the wakeboarder. For the driver there is a rear-view camera with a monitor at the helm. Anyone who wants to enjoy the breeze can take a seat on the sofas forward in the open bow.
Integrated surf plattform Developed in utmost secrecy, Malibu’s new M235 was designed to be nothing less than the most ultra-premium performance towboat the world has ever seen. This extra-deep, 23-foot-5-inch machine has every single one of Malibu’s unique, revolutionary innovations, including the Integrated Surf Platform and the most luxurious interior and advanced helm in the industry.
