The ultra-light SAY29E Runabout CARBON is already making waves before the first deliveries start in spring 2019.
With a top speed of 95.0 km/h, the SAY29E Runabout Carbon is currently the fastest mass-produced electric boat in the world. After setting the new speed record for mass-produced electric boats in June of this year, the SAY29E has now been nominated for the Innovation Award at the "European Powerboat of the Year Awards", which will be presented during the Flagship Night at boot 2019.
Minimalist and functional Minimalist design, use of advanced materials and technologies, everything on the SAY29E is optimized for weight reduction, functionality and maximum performance. The ultra-light wavecutter hull, characteristic of all SAY yachts, cuts effortlessly through the water and thanks to the stabilising sidewings at the rear, the result is an easily gliding and at the same time extremely stable boat that can be precisely steered even at extreme cornering speeds.
Impressive 500 HP The SAY29E, whose pure carbon composite hull weighs in at just 400 kilograms, is powered by an innovative electric propulsion system from Kreisel Electric, which was specially developed for this boat. The gyro drive achieves a peak performance of an impressive 500 hp, which leads to an impressive acceleration. This is made possible by the unique, liquid-cooled gyro battery technology used in the SAY29E with an impressive 100kWh.
First class partners Karl Wagner, CEO SAY GmbH, says: "With Kreisel Electric from Rainbach in Austria and the Swiss yacht shipyard Portier on Lake Zurich, we have found two top partners for our top product, the SAY29E Runabout Carbon, in the field of e-technology. Kreisel Electric has developed this unique power drive for us and the yacht shipyard Portier is absolutely the right shipyard for the marketing. The SAY29E Runabout Carbon is 100% carbon. This has allowed us to achieve an extremely favourable weight to power ratio, making the boat the fastest e-boat in the world today".
