Silent Yachts presents with the Silent 55 a luxurious and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional motor yachts with combustion engines.
The Silent 55 can be ordered in three different engine configurations. With the Cruiser version, you can travel silently and emission-free thanks to the two solar-electric 30 kW electric motors with up to 10 knots, with the E-Power version with its two 135 kW motors and larger batteries with up to 20 knots. For those who want to move fast and far, the Hybrid Power version with a mixture of electric and diesel engines is the better, albeit not cleaner, choice.
Michael Köhler, CEO of Silent-Yachts: "Silent-Yachts sets the standard for a completely new dynamic in yachting: no fuel, no maintenance, pure solar luxury."
Highly efficient collectors The 30 high-efficiency solar collectors on the roof of the Silent 55, with a rated output of 10 kilowatts peak, charge lithium batteries via an MPPT solar charge controller, which can provide sufficient capacity for trips throughout the night, while a 15 kVA inverter supplies power for all other electrical and electronic devices on board the Silent 55. Modern systems require minimal maintenance and produce no noise. This not only relieves the hearing and the environment, but also the purse, since the operating costs are considerably lower compared to conventional motor yachts.
Plenty of room for living comfort When it comes to living comfort and luxury on board, the Silent 55 is in no way inferior to its competitors. The opulent flybridge with outside steering position, large seating area and wide sunbed offers plenty of space under the sun. The whole thing is shaded by the hydraulic roof covered with solar collectors, which can be closed at the push of a button to create a flat, even roof structure. The saloon offers plenty of space and, in addition to a dining area, also accommodates a large, ergonomically designed fully equipped kitchen. From the steering position you always have a good overview thanks to the large panorama windows all around. The cockpit is spacious, offering a covered dining area with access to the saloon and a large sun lounger between the hulls under which a dinghy can be comfortably carried. Two bathing platforms at the hull ends are easily accessible via gentle steps and allow easy entry and exit into a dinghy. From the wide side decks you have access to the foredeck where you can either sunbathe on the sunbeds on either side of the saloon or in the two nets stretched between the hulls.
Five different layouts The Silent 55 is available in five different layouts. The choice ranges from three to six cabins with either three or four bathrooms. The heart of three of the layouts is the huge, centrally located master suite. It offers sheer endless stowage space, plenty of freedom of movement and, thanks to many windows, a bright and friendly atmosphere. A separate bathroom and a separate shower complete the luxurious package. The guest cabins and bathrooms are located in the hulls of the Silent 55 and offer little less comfort than the master suite. All cabins are available as double and twin cabins and all other bathrooms on board have a separate shower cubicle. On request, the Silent 55 is also available in other layouts, for example as a version for charter companies.
