With the Astréa 42, Fountaine Pajot presents a new, modern sailing catamaran that closes the gap between the Lucia 40 and the Helia 44 Evolution.
The Astréa 42 is characterised by its dynamic lines and a high level of living comfort in a friendly and elegant atmosphere on and below deck. Whether with family or friends, the Astréa 42 promises unforgettable moments at sea.
Dynamic look The Astréa 42 underlines the shipyard's commitment to innovation while preserving the classic identity of the Fountaine Pajot sailing catamarans. It incorporates all the innovations that have contributed to the Saona 47 becoming an international success. Her inverted bow, the new trademark of the series, gives the boat an elegant and dynamic look and allows an incomparable interior for a boat of this size.
Open kitchen The covered cockpit and spacious saloon are on one level, making it easy to move around on deck. The lounge area is equipped with large panoramic windows and offers a large, comfortable seating area facing the bow with a separate navigation area from which you can enjoy a magnificent view. The large U-shaped kitchen with four-burner gas stove, double sink, oven and refrigerator can be opened to the dining area in the cockpit via a sliding window on the counter.
Space for relaxation In addition to the dining area, the cockpit offers additional space for relaxation and an outside grill invites you to enjoy the fresh air. Two stairs at the stern of the hulls lead to the large bathing platform at the stern, which can be lowered comfortably. Two steps lead to the open steering position with double seat on starboard side, from where a ladder leads to a sunbed on the cockpit roof. On the foredeck there is another generous, U-shaped sunbed, which can be converted into a seating area by folding the backrests.
Two layouts below deck Below deck, the Astréa 42 is bright and friendly thanks to the many flush-mounted skylights in the deck and offers two different options. The Maestro version offers an enormously spacious master suite in the starboard hull, with a large double bed in the stern area and a very spacious bathroom with separate shower and separate toilet in the front part. In this version there are two more double cabins with large double beds and en-suite port hull bathrooms. The Quator version offers four double cabins, each with its own bathroom.
