The new J/99 is the latest addition to the J/Sport series and combines headroom and comfortable interior with the responsiveness of a sports boat.
The sail and deck plan of the J/99 is optimized for easy handling with the smallest crew and takes into account the latest developments of the award-winning J/121 and the new offshore sailing world champion, the J/112E. Equipped with either single or double rudder, the J/99 offers the best sailing characteristics and is easy to manoeuvre.
Performance and versatility "The J/99 opens up a wide range of sailing opportunities," comments designer Alan Johnstone. "The versatile sailing plan, balanced hull shape and efficient cockpit will be suitable for both short distance offshore sailing and weekend cruising with friends. The J/99 combines power and versatility in a manageable size and budget".
For regatta use and family cruises J/99 is the result of in-depth studies based on the vast experience of J/Boats and J/Composites. It is just as suitable for use in regattas as it is for a leisurely trip with the family. The interior has two aft cabins, a forward facing navigation corner, an L-shaped galley and a small forward bath. With its two double-bed aft cabins, it offers a comfortable and highly functional layout with sufficient headroom and, thanks to its kitchen and bathroom, is also suitable for multi-day trips.
