The Bavaria C42 is the logical progression of the Bavaria C-Line, with its own character. A modern innovative hull shape with chines and a V-bow developed by BAVARIA YACHTS guarantee best sailing characteristics and an unusually large amount of space below deck.
Chines and V-bow
More stability, a longer waterline and therefore more performance as well as a more direct feeling when steering, thanks to the chines. The prominent angle at the stern has another advantage: the aft cabins offer more space and therefore more comfort. Narrow at the waterline, the V-bow widens towards the deck, like a V. Additional volume in the bow ensures less trim when heeling and thus more safety in rough seas.
More sail area
When developing the rig and sailing plan, the BAVARIA YACHTS development team in cooperation with Cossutti Yacht Design focused on two things in particular: easy handling and above-average performance. 54 square metres of sail area in the mainsail and 47 square metres in the Genoa provide the extra wind for the Bavaria C42.
The innovative hull design also opens up completely new dimensions below deck on board the Bavaria C42. Individual cabin layouts are available, ranging from the luxurious 2-cabin version with a spacious bathroom to the comfortable 3-cabin version with two bathrooms. In the saloon, a cosy dinner with eight people is no problem on the U-sofa to starboard and the lounge bench to port. And the large L-Pantry offers everything you need for such a large dinner. Large work surfaces, plenty of room to move around, plenty of storage space and a stove with 3 flames are already standard.
