When the Hallberg-Rassy 44 was introduced, it was a bold step forward in terms of both interior comfort, sailing performance and looks. The new 40C is equivalent when it comes to saloon, aft cabin and galley. Combined with a cockpit that has exactly the same measurements as on the 44.
Spacious pantry layouts
There are two generous galley layouts to choose from: the larger version has a larger work surface and more storage space, and there is also room for an extra refrigerator. You can also accommodate a microwave and dishwasher. If you choose the other option, you get more storage space in the cockpit locker.
Aft Cabin Configurations
There are two different aft cabin configurations. The standard version has two separate berths; a double berth and a single bed. In between is a comfortable sofa. As an option there is a wide and comfortable centre berth with a sofa to port and a dressing table to starboard. In both cabin solutions there are two large aft deck lockers.
The furniture is available in traditional Khaya mahogany or, as an option, in light European oak. The furniture has a lot of volume and is light and airy. There are many sources of natural light, indirect LED lighting, many ventilation options. There are six large hull windows.
Also the rig is modern and easy to handle. There are no runners needed, not even with an inner hard wind sail. The headsail is only slightly overlapping, which makes tacking very easy. There is also an option for a selftacking jib.
