Directly from the X-Yachts Design Office comes the brand new X4⁰, a forty-foot high performance cruising yacht that is just as capable of a long range as it is of racing around the buoys on weekends. The X4⁰ is the smallest model in the new X series.
Clear design philosophy
The design philosophy was clear from the start - as with all X yachts, great importance was placed on providing the owner with an outstanding and comfortable sailing experience on a yacht that is easy to use by the entire crew. The X4⁰ uses all the weight saved to increase the stability of the yacht so that the crew can spend a relaxing time and feel safer and more comfortable.
Light, strong and sturdy.
With the introduction of the X-65 in 2007, X-Yachts began to infuse hulls for high performance yachts with epoxy resin. The epoxy infusion construction provides fantastic control over the laminate so it can be optimized to maximize strength and stiffness while reducing weight.
The interior of the X4⁰ was designed to maximize space and create a functional, reliable and stylish experience below deck. The interior design will once again radiate Danish design flair and joinery at its best.
The heart of the X4⁰ is the galvanized steel keel grid construction. The galvanized steel hull frame developed by X-Yachts back in 1981 offers outstanding safety and reliability. Its main task is to distribute keel and mast loads into the hull and it also allows the yacht to withstand extreme shock forces from ground contact or a collision with a sunken object.
The X4⁰ is available in a two- or three-cab layout. The two-cabin layout features a bathroom with separate shower cabin and a forward facing navigation station with a full-length sofa. The three-cabin layout features an innovative aft chart table that can be neatly stowed away when not in use. The three-cabin layout will be available from spring 2020.
