Here are some tips that will take you to the best spots in all seasons. Some spots have more wind, others are better for waves or are suitable for learning to kite. If you do not want to quit kitesurfing during the cold winter months in Europe, the question is which spot to choose for what time of year. We have put together some tips that will take you through your kitesurfing year.
January Coche (Venezuela): A great spot for beginners and intermediates. The large flat-water course and stable wind conditions are ideal for both newcomers and advanced kiters. The wind is reliable and in addition, the gorgeous scenery really make Coche a top spot - even for families.
February Djerba (Tunesia): Unbeatable in terms of price and secure wind conditions. Djerba is the spot for beginners and intermediates. The Kitemagazine once described it as one of the world's best learning spots. Yet the combination of shallow water and the constant strong wind offers possibilities to more experienced riders as well.
März El Médano (Teneriffa): Just simply a superb wave spot for advanced kiters and cracks. Probably a bit to tricky yet for beginners due to the waves, but for experienced kiters they promise sheer fun and action! El Medano has over 300 days of wind per year, the same is true for the sunny days. So, let's go!
April El Gouna (Egypt): Whether beginner, advanced or pro, everyone will get what he wants at El Gouna. Apart from the constant and almost always strong wind, El Gouna offers everything from flat water to small chop. There is really something for everyone here! An all-round spot for all skill levels.
May El Yaque (Isla Margerita/Venezuela) is considered the spot with the most reliable wind situation. Arguably the greatest number of windy days worldwide are recorded in El Yaque. For beginners, there is a separate shallow area. Advanced kiters and freestylers will find everythging they want for. The constantly blowing strong winds in combination with quite a choppy wave guarantee loads of action and fun on all levels.
June Sotavento (Fuerteventura Süd): Strong and constant wind conditions in shallow water or waves up to two meters high turn this family-friendly destination into a perfect spot for freestylers and racers. But also beginners find their spot here as there is a large, sheltered lagoon at high tide. Thus Sotavento is a spot for all. It is even a venue for World Cup races.
July Alacati Bay (Turkey): Alacati is the perfect spot for beginners and intermediates, advanced kiters and cracks. For beginners there is a separate shallow area, which guarantees quick learning success. The high wind reliability (4-7 Bft.) and flat water produce conditions for every level of kiting ability.
Rhodos (Giechenland): The safest spot for wind on Rhodes is really an allround spot. Beginners will find it perfect for the sheltered bay and wave cracks revel in waves of up to two meters. For families, Trianda offers the perfect alternative to the mainstream drestinations like Ixia and Faliraki. And you will also enjoy the "après kiting".

October Safaga (Egypt) is probaly the spot with the most reliable wind conditions in Egypt. The extended stretch of shallow water makes it a good beginners destination. Further out, the waves offer something for all skill levels.
November Le Morne (Mauritius): A very safe location for wind. In strong winds even breaking waves may build up. Therefore the spot holds only limited space for beginners in the first 200 m off the beach. Yet it is a great spot for families, as there is lots do do and discover for kids. Conclusion: Super holiday spot in gorgeous scenery.
December Corralejo (Fuerteventura Nord): The wave spot of the island is located at the widest beach on Fuerteventura. For beginners, the first 200m of the spot are suitable. This is the stretch with the shallow water. Further out, the waves build up to around 2 meters. Perfect for wave kiters of all levels - an unbeatable spot on Fuerteventura!
