These are Europe's best motor yachts, which are awarded the "Oscar of Water Sports" in a total of five categories every year. For the thirteenth time, the international award "European Powerboat of the Year" was presented on Saturday, January 19th at the Flagship Night of boot Düsseldorf and Delius Klasing Publishers.
More than 200 new boat models appear annually on the motorboat market. There are five length classes: up to 25 ft, up to 35 ft, up to 45 ft, over 45 ft and a length-independent displacement class. The expert jury of the "European powerboat of the Year Award" consists of the eight leading European motorboat magazines from Norway (Båtliv), Italy (BoatMag), France (Neptune), the Netherlands (Motorboot), Spain (Nautica y Yates), Switzerland (marina.ch), Austria (Yachtrevue) and Germany (BOOTE). In September, the panel of experts initially nominated its 24 top candidates from this large number of new introductions using a sophisticated points system, from which the winners were then selected.
In the small class up to 25 feet the Nordkapp Noblesse 660 came out on top. The Noblesse 660 stands for a new concept in the day cruiser segment. It offers many well thought-out features, a well-protected cockpit and excellent handling characteristics. The 6.50 metre long Nordkapp also scored points for its innovative design.
