There will be two changes in the team of boot Director Petros Michelidakis from 1 September. Christian Hruschka (52), as Senior Project Manager, will take over the acquisition and support of exhibitors from the accessories, diving and tourism sectors and will thus be responsible for Halls 10 to 13 at boot Düsseldorf. His predecessor, Lena Beckmann (31), is leaving the boot team after seven years to take a sabbatical and travel around Europe's south.
Hruschka has been Senior Project Manager for drupa, the world's leading trade fair for printing technologies, from 2014 until today: "I am looking forward to my new tasks in the boot team. Water sports are simply fascinating and I am a passionate sailor myself.”
Also new on board is Svenja Zimmermann. The 23-year-old already completed part of her training in the boot team and has been strengthening exhibitor support as Junior Project Manager since August. At the same time, Zimmermann is the contact person for the Galeria boot with maritime art in Hall 7.
Director Petros Michelidakis: "I am delighted to have both colleagues on board. They know the trade fair business and will drive boot forward with passion in the future." Arne von Heimendahl will continue to be responsible for the boats and yachts exhibition area in Halls 1-6, 15 and 16. Caroline Mühl is the contact person for trend sports as well as canoeing and kayaking in Halls 17 and 14 and Lara Hannappel is in charge of the special shows and action stages.
About boot Düsseldorf
boot Düsseldorf has been the home port and motor of international water sports since 1969. From 20 to 28 January 2024, it offers boating in all its facets and has the top brands on board. Both sailors and motor boaters will find a comprehensive range of products here, from entry-level boats and dinghies to luxury yachts. Diving, surfing, and paddling are also in the spotlight at boot. With the innovative and technically sophisticated products of the exhibitors, boot is the international innovation platform for its sector and every year in January the starting signal for the new water sports season. The comprehensive tourist offer for holidays and sports on, at and in the water of the "Destination Seaside" attracts all people who want to spend their leisure time by the sea, rivers and lakes. The international sustainability forum "blue innovation dock", attractive stage program with interesting interview partners from the industry, the latest trend sport offers and a top-class mix of workshops and meetings for both leisure sports enthusiasts and experts make the fair unique worldwide. This makes boot Düsseldorf once again the first address for both the water sports enthusiast family and international experts in 2024.
