For the first time, boot Düsseldorf has ventured beyond its home turf to produce social media content, travelling with a team to the Croatian Adriatic coast. With the support of the sailing team led by the dynamic Austrian professional sailor Julian Kircher from In2theblue (at boot in Sailing Hall 15) and Marina Punat (exhibitor in the Destinations & Boat Life Hall 14), the crew found ideal conditions for filming reels and videos off the picturesque coast of Krk.
The footage focused primarily on scenes designed to inspire beginners to take up water sports. First sailing trips into Kvarner Bay showed just how much fun and excitement a sailing course with like-minded people of all ages can bring. In the sailing area off Krk and Punat, a holiday is guaranteed to offer plenty of fun and a touch of adventure – not just in the height of summer, but from April right through to November!
Alongside sailing, the boot’s content production days also featured diving and motorboating. A Hydra 460 from the Slovenian manufacturer Roto Nautica was tested, and the crew were impressed by the handling of this robust and low-maintenance speedboat, which celebrated its world premiere at this year’s boot.
For the diving content production, the boot crew had brought the Hang-Loose-Diving school on board. Also based in picturesque Punat, Stephan Wybrecht’s team offers taster dives for beginners, Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses, as well as guided dives. All courses are offered in German and English – www.hang-loose-diving.de.
Representing the boot content team in Croatia, Angelina Kalke and Leonie Venus were on board and threw themselves enthusiastically into the water sports experience. Angelina, from the social media crew at the Düsseldorf-based agency markenzeichen, had already gained some initial experience in recent years at local hotspots such as the Düsseldorf sailing area on Lake Unterbach. Leonie first came into contact with surfing, diving and sailing at the trade fair and was so enthusiastic that she spontaneously agreed to take part in the shoot in Croatia. One person who has long known just how unique boating and sailing really are, is Jörg Müller-Dünow. As a passionate sailor, the Düsseldorf-based Managing Partner of markenzeichen brought water sports to the agency and says: “Nothing beats sailing; it’s a wonderful sport for body and soul.” In the videos, he will pass on his boating experience to the beginners,
The Instagram Reels and YouTube videos from the content shoot in Punat are sure to whet your appetite for more of the sea during the exciting upcoming summer season. The production is being supported in terms of planning and organization by boot Düsseldorf’s press officer, Tania Vellen, and the trade fair’s online coordinator, Stefan Schölzel.
boot CEO Petros Michelidakis is delighted with the idea of creating content in Punat: “A big thank you goes to the in2theblue team, who have inspired us with plenty of sporting input and great ideas, and of course to Renata Marević, who, together with Marina Punat, has provided the logistical and maritime location. Both are closely linked to boot Düsseldorf and are an excellent example of how the trade fair and exhibitors can work together effectively to positively inspire and secure the future of water sports.”
