At the boot Pumpfoil Experience on Fehmarn, water sports enthusiasts were able to try out this fascinating sport for themselves. With professional guidance and equipment provided on site, pumpfoiling proved to be an unforgettable experience for many.

What is Pumpfoiling?

Pumpfoiling is an innovative water sport where you glide across the water through rhythmic weight shifts and pumping movements. The board lifts off the water using a hydrofoil, and you hover almost silently above the surface. No wind, no waves needed. Just your energy and technique.

How did the boot Pumpfoil Experience go?

Each session was structured to ensure that participants were fully prepared before heading out onto the water: 15 minutes of theory on the basics of pump foiling, followed by 30 minutes of practical training under the guidance of experienced coaches from Surfing Kalifornien. Many experienced their first sense of achievement on the foil as early as the first session.

At the Foil Festival, boot Düsseldorf offered free beginner’s courses in wing surfing in addition to the Pumpfoil Experience. Three sessions a day on all four days of the festival attracted huge crowds. Places were quickly booked up.

The boot Pumpfoil Experience on Fehmarn was a resounding success. Whether beginners or advanced riders, whether at the Surf Festival or the Foil Festival: the enthusiasm for pumpfoiling and wing surfing was palpable amongst all participants. We’re looking forward to doing it all again next year! And anyone who’d like to give pumpfoiling a go before then can book a slot at boot 2027 in January at Try Pumpfoiling!
