French yard announces world premiere at boot Düsseldorf 2017
For January 2017, Dufour Yachts has announced the world premiere of a new, 63-foot luxury sailing yacht from the French sailing yacht builder at the boot Düsseldorf. At this point, boot.de presents the first cornerstones of this new and exciting yacht concept from France.
A challenge of new dimensions The exclusive 63-foot sailing yacht will be the new flagship of Dufour Yachts. For the first time the design team of the La Rochelle-based shipyard ventured into the design of a sailing yacht of these dimensions. And, of course, the team set out to meet the challenge of delivering an equally innovative design and concept in this new yacht segment for Dufour as they have already achieved in the previous models of smaller size.
Incorporating specific owner feedback The new DUFOUR 63 Exclusive concept of Dufour Yachts clearly addresses the owner's market in this size segment. The French boat builder positions itself as an interesting alternative to HanseYachts designs from Greifswald. There are a number of key features to be recognized in the new Dufour concept: space and design of utility space, comfortable living on board and lifestyle on and below deck. The approach Dufour Yachts took to the development of this concept may be summed up with the effort to recognize current specific customer needs and requiremnets and bring them into a creative development process based upon the know-how of 50 years of yacht design.
A garage for the tender - or turn it into a workshop This new approach becomes apparent, for example, in the concept of space on the new Dufour 63: the design allows the creation of spaces designated to accomodate the special interests of the owner on board. The spacious rear garage for the tender or personal watercraft can, for example, be turned into a fully equipped workshop that allows for greater independance on long-distance cruises.
A luxury appartement on the water The cabin and interior concept is governed by the idea of a comfortable day on board. This applies to the layout of the cabins and wet cells as well as to the on-board kitchen, which does not have to hide behind its counterparts on shore due to its equipment with a dishwasher, washing machine and an exhaust van.
Maritime Livestyle - everywhere on board The layout of the new yacht contributes significantly to a comfortable and relaxed maritime lifestyle on board. The NEW DUFOUR 63 is designed for all creature comforts, the designers put special emphasis on this. And a lot of light is supposed to make the maritime world on the outside felt even below deck and inside the sailing yacht. The layout of the NEW DUFOUR 63 is structured over several levels in some ways similar to the deck salon concept. There is light everywhere, no impression of sitting deep down in a dark ship's salon.
World yacht premiere at the boot Düsseldorf "With the design of the NEW DUFOUR 63 Exclusive, DUFOUR YACHTS proves once again that it has positioned itself clearly in the realm of sailing yacht design with regard to uniqueness, usability and perfection of shape," says Meik Lessig, Managing Director of DUFOUR YACHTS Northern Europe.
