Sneak Preview boot 2017 - Virtual tour on the Rhine
A long-cherished dream of the boat show crew has been fulfilled this year: The boot computer game is being launched at the boot 2017. In co-operation with the "Start Boating" campaign the world's leading boat show developed a game which emulates a real ride on the Rhine up to the exhibition grounds in Düsseldorf.
The Virtual Reality is created using Oculus Rift glasses. It is controlled with real instruments on the boat, which can also be seen on the water. This guarantees a real motorboat feeling, which is further enhanced by a wind generated.
Start of the tour is at the airport bridge just north of Düsseldorf, the finish at the exhibition grounds. At the "Start Boating" stand - hall 10 / stand A59 - visitors can easily make their first motorboat experiences with the boot computer game. If you take the trip quickly and without problems, it takes about 3 minutes from the start to the destination to drive. But of course you can go at your own speed leisurely if you prefer - just as with real boating, too. It is an absolute must do at the boot 2017!
