Action-packed sports on THE WAVE and the flatwater pool
There are almost no limits to the action-packed boardsports at boot 2018. Rapid surfing on the standing WAVE is also a real challenge for international surfing professionals. Successful surfers such as Airton Cozzolino, Zane Schweitzer, Bernd Rosiger or Fiona Wylde travel from their Hawaiian hotspots to the grey January in Central Europe to experience a real surfing adventure and prove themselves in international contests. And besides these surfing pros there are the many hobby surfers who just want to try a wave ride on the WAVE.
The new 1,400 square meter water basin offers even more space to try out the latest wakeboards and SUPs. An absolute premiere at boot will be the 2018 tow-in windsurf show. Thanks to the higher and up to 43 kmh fast cable car as well as the 65 meter long pool, freestyle windsurfers will perform spectacular tricks in the world's first indoor-tow-in show. For the first time in an indoor pool at a water sports fair there is a foiling experiment. The SUP athletes fly almost over the water thanks to their foil keels. Looks exciting and requiresa sophisticated technique.
