Have fun, be amazed, shop - some highlights for you
Sometimes it's not the big crowd-pullers but the small moments and fine exhibits that fascinate at boot Düsseldorf.
Exciting displays, innovative ideas: The 50th boot in Düsseldorf offers plenty of surprises to see and be amazed by, in all 16 exhibition halls. Everyone will find their personal highlight in the halls of the fair.
Relaxed trip to the beach
Let's be honest: Cruising on the road like Easy Rider used to, and then stopping at the beach, taking the surfboard and off into the waves. Who wouldn't like that? You can do that, sustainably and without a big Harley. Rayvolt combines the style of the big motorcycle brand as an e-bike with the lifestyle of the surfer scene - all in the spirit of the Catalan company founders. Design elements made of copper and leather, plus the look of a chopper from the 1960s and 1970s make the Rayvolt "Beach Cruiser" an eye-catcher in vintage style located directly at the pool in Hall 8a (E28). The bike with the charm of the past and the technology of the future is available as a pedelec or e-moped and of course offers the option of mounting a holder for the surfboard on the frame.
boot 2019 - Something for everyone!
Like a dolphin in the water
Playing in the waves, the gracefulness in the water: Dolphins fascinate with their joy of movement in their element. Seabob, the handy e-jet, propels swimmers and divers into a new dimension. The powerful electric drives force water in through the impeller and press it back through the jet channel with high pressure. This way they accelerate the athlete up to 22 km/h. The pilot intuitively decides whether to glide through the water in a sporty or relaxed manner. The pilot controls and dives by shifting the body's weight, the speed is controlled by the control grip. This powerful and fun piece of water sports equipment is made in Bad Salzuflen (Cayago AG), is available in three versions (2.5 kW, 4.0 kw and 4.5 kW), fits in any locker on your boat and can be seen at boot in halls 10/A21 and 3/F15.
Impressions from Halls 3 & 4
Just relax for a while
A little tip for all those who want to take a break during the fair: In Hall 12/E21 you will find the inflatable lounge furniture from Seanatic and Trono. In summer, the cabana lounger with awning is the perfect place to relax - whether on the beach or on the water. The nylon body can be tightly inflated, offers a large, ergonomic lying surface and turns any place into a relaxation area in no time at all. Even smaller and handier is the Trono, which is filled with air in a few seconds and offers a place to lounge around. At boot Düsseldorf you can try out loungers and seats to your heart's content. But beware! Hardly anyone leaves the booth without their own piece of furniture in their hand luggage.
Water hiking with a twist
Cyclists are drawn to the water: being on the move by bicycle has always been one of the most beautiful and ecological ways to experience nature. Now cyclists are also conquering the waterways. The Spanish start-up company Red Shark is opening up new possibilities for cyclists. The Red Shark bikes are mounted to a trimaran base, can be individually adjusted to your height using the adjustment options in the handlebar stem and saddle, and redefine a "pedal boat". The pedal propeller drive provides either high training effects or new perspectives to experience nature. Operation as an e-bike is also possible. The swimming base with a length of 2 metres and a width of 2.25 metres is foldable and can therefore be transported on the car roof or a standard rear carrier on the trailer hitch. Depending on the model, the Red-Shark bike weighs between 32 and 49 kg. The sports equipment can be seen in Hall 13/D72.
Equal opportunities in paddling and SUP
The Epropulsion engines from China are already well established as outboard engines in boating. Now the young company from Hong Kong is expanding its activities to include SUP boards and kayaks. With the Vaquita equipment - consisting of electric motor, battery and propeller - both SUP boards and kayaks can be quickly retrofitted. This provides additional thrust on paddle tours and compensates for the different performance levels on joint tours. With the Mertek, the company has taken it one step further. The electrically powered surfboard can be inflated and is so compact that it can easily be carried on board in a bag for a holiday and thus ensures fun in the harbour or at anchor. This year the Epropulsion products can be seen in Hall 13/D66. However, the company leaders have already announced that they want to exhibit much larger next year.
Always an eye on time
The Saxon company Wempe presents the finest German craftsmanship in Hall 11/C57. The company from the German town of watchmakers par excellence, Glashütte in the Erzgebirge mountains, proudly presents its naval chronometer. The precision ship's instrument is built only in small numbers, serves on ships all over the world and has become a true collector's item. The accuracy with which this mechanical clockwork displays the time is overwhelming. Shipping companies are also happy to use the marine chronometer to reward deserving employees. It is a real eye-catcher for visitors to the fair in any case.
Best equipment to record everything
Special moments and experiences call for being captured in video or photo. Pixel World in Hall 4 shows all the possibilities of underwater and action photography and videography. However, not only the cameras themselves, but also the rest of the gear determine how well the shots turn out. Rollei GmbH from Norderstedt offers a wide range of mounts and tripods for actioncams and cameras. In addition, gimbals for blur-free smartphone and actioncam shots, and also backpacks to transport all the equipment. The Rollei booth in Hall 4/A11 is a great place to complete your visit to the fair and take better pictures during your next water sports holiday.
