Registering nearly 237,000 visitors from over 100 countries and more than 1,500 exhibitors from 68 nations on 220,000 square metres in 16 exhibition halls, boot Düsseldorf reports back with impressive figures. The entire international industry was drawn to the Rhineland metropolis.
Big Willi
It stands quietly, directly on the Rhine, at river kilometre 748.2 and in the immediate vicinity of the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition grounds: Big Willi. With a total height of 12.7 metres and a total width of 11.4 metres, the orange crane is hard to miss. Big Willi will also be lifting around 30 boats out of the Rhine for boot 2023.
boot Düsseldorf asked the exhibitors of boats and yachts to sound their horns again for 15 seconds on the opening day shortly before 10:00 a.m. after an announced countdown and the words "boot Düsseldorf has open". How better a trade fair could start.
With 12 hands-on activities and the Contest & Shows in Hall 17, visitors definitely had a lot to experience and marvel at. From diving in the new diving tower to the new trend sport of wingfoiling, 34 wind machines provided everything a sportsman's heart could desire.
Seminars and the boot cruise coaching
The boot motor seminar, which was offered by BLAUWASSER for the first time at boot 2023, was almost fully booked. A charter seminar and blue water seminar were also on offer for the trade fair public. With the four experts in the free cruise advice, this offer was also over 90% fully booked.
Many nature conservation organisations were on site at boot Düsseldorf for talks and to present current projects. The Nabu, The Seacleaners and the Technische Hilfswerk. Companies and projects that aim to protect water and the climate presented themselves on the "love your ocean" stage.
Classic Forum
Classic beauties of boatbuilding could be admired.
13 boats from different eras were exhibited in the "Classic Forum" of the 54th boot Düsseldorf: from sailing boats to dinghies to historical treasures. A special highlight was the 10th "Private Maritime Auction": from original maritime objects to real boats, a lot was up for auction.
This year's "ocean tribute" award was presented to "INNOVATION YACHTS". The prize money of 20,000 euros is provided by the Fürst Albert II Foundation and boot Düsseldorf. With their completely recyclable boat IY LBV35 they convinced the jury of experts
