Big Willi

On the banks of the Rhine in Düsseldorf-Stockum, the bright orange ship's crane takes the boats in its belts, lifts them out of the water and carefully places them on transporters, which then drive them into the exhibition halls. Big Willi lifts yachts weighing up to 100 tons out of the Rhine.

Boats premieres 2024

The variety of new sailing yachts and motorboats with innovative functions and materials offered something for every taste. From high-speed sailors to cozy cruisers, from sustainable materials to alternative drives - the selection of premieres at boot 2024 was impressive. New luxury tenders, shadowboats and superboats wowed visitors with their luxurious features.

Initiative for a strong and sustainable diving industry

boot has launched the boot dive award to provide even better support for the international diving industry. Five awards are presented annually in the categories Personality, Destination, Innovation, Product and Climate. The dive award was presented for the first time at boot 2023.

9th International Breakfast Meeting

boot Düsseldorf and the European Boating Industry hosted the eighth annual International Breakfast Meeting on Tuesday 23 January 2024. On the theme of "New generation of leaders and new investment – a changing strategic direction for the industry?", top-level speakers from the sector, associations and European institutions got together.

Inclusive sailing day - DSV

Following last year's premiere, the Day of Inclusive Sailing took place for the second time at boot Düsseldorf. Together with the German Sailing Association, Messe Düsseldorf is committed to ensuring that sailing is a sport in which people with and without disabilities can be active together regardless of gender and age. Lectures, workshops and panel discussions highlighted various areas of inclusion.

The winner of the "ocean tribute" Award 2024

This year's "ocean tribute" award was presented to "ECOP AFRICA". The prize money of 20,000 euros is provided by the Prince Albert II Foundation and boot Düsseldorf. They impressed the jury with their vision of nature-based carbon removal and sustainable aquaculture in Africa. Peter Teye Busumprah from Ghana and Irene Belinyah from Cameroon accepted the prize on behalf of the initiative.
