monte mare in Rheinbach
Just dive in! For example at the monte mare indoor dive centre in Rheinbach near Bonn. Even in the autumn and winter the water temperature is a pleasant 28° C*. In the 200 m2, diving pool with a depth of 10 metres, scuba divers and freedivers alike can discover a labyrinth of caves and grottos as well as a sunken boat wreck. For a more exciting adventure, dive through a vertical tube system with underwater volcanoes.
As Germany's largest SSI dive training school, monte mare offers a comprehensive program, from introductory diving courses and beginner courses to instructor training. So you’ll be well prepared for the coming watersports season! For those who don’t (yet) have their own equipment, the dive centre rents out lead belts, tanks and vests and provides tank fillings as well as other equipment such as wetsuits, regulators, dive computers, masks, snorkels and fins.
An absolute highlight: If diving is not your only passion and you wish to combine it with your love for your partner, at monte mare you can even get married underwater in a civil ceremony!

Dive4Life in Siegburg
The deepest indoor diving in Germany is in Siegburg near Cologne. With its 20-metre depth, the indoor dive pool at Dive4Life is the local recordholder and holds 3 million litres of clear, 26° C water*. This dive centre offers apnea divers and scuba divers the sunken city of the Maya, caves, grottos, detailed statues and artworks as well as a boat wreck. Also, in Dive4Life there are trial courses for beginners as well as advanced and master training according to i.a.c. International Aquanautic Club and SSI Scuba Schools International standards.

The largest indoor dive pool in Europe with a diametre of 45 metres and a depth of 13 metres can be found in Duisburg. However, it's a bit colder here in the autumn and winter: Depending on the outside temperature, the 21 million litres of fresh water fluctuate between 7 and 26° C*. But with the right equipment – which divers can of course also rent on site – nothing stands in the way of diving enjoyment, even in winter. In the underwater world you can explore a shipwreck, an airplane wreck, an artificial reef and tube systems.

The deepest indoor dive pool in the world awaits divers on the Arabian Peninsula: Deep Dive Dubai. With a depth of 60 metres, the pool has a capacity of 14 million litres of fresh water. Due to the immense size of the underwater world, divers need several dives to explore the abandoned sunken city. Meanwhile, 56 installed cameras ensure optimum safety. Good to know: Thanks to the pleasant water temperature of about 30° C*, you don’t even need a wetsuit at Deep Dive Dubai.

Blue Abyss in England
The pool at the new Blue Abyss in England will soon be even bigger: it’s still under construction and is expected to hold around 48 million litres of water when completed. The centrepiece is a 50 x 40-metre step pool with a 50-metre shaft. With Blue Abyss the developers are pursuing a clear vision: This state-of-the-art facility is to become the world's leading research, training and testing centre for extreme conditions in deep sea and in space.
Deepspot in Polen
With a depth of 45 metres and a volume of 8 million litres of water, Poland’s Deepspot was long considered the deepest indoor dive pool in the world – until the opening of Deep Dive Dubai. In Mszczonów near Warsaw, underwater caves and a sunken shipwreck await adventurous indoor divers. In the pool with a training centre, both scuba divers and freedivers, beginners and passionate professionals get their money's worth in the warm water, with temperatures of up to 34° C*.
