What is Pacific Garbage Screening


Pacific Garbage Screening (PSG) is a vision of young architect Marcella Hansch, who became aware of the increasing littering of the world's oceans during various diving holidays and decided to actively face the solution of the problem herself. As part of her final thesis she developed the PSG project, a floating platform with a special design that enables plastic particles to be filtered out of the water using a passive sedimentation principle. Meanwhile Hansch is working with a large team of volunteers on the implementation of her vision, a crowdfounding campaign started in June 2018.

Every year in January, various species protection projects are presented at boot Düsseldorf, including GDR, Sea Shepherd and yaqu pacha e.V., which specialise in the protection of dolphins, among others.

International OCEAN FILM TOUR


Since 2015 boot Düsseldorf has been a partner of the International OCEAN FILM TOUR and has provided a forum for the OFT in the Water Pixel World at the boat show each January. The team will present a Best Of of previous sea adventures and water sports films with daily screenings on the big screen of the Water Pixel World in Hall 4.
