Whether it's an inflatable boat with an outboard motor for a quick short trip, a weekender suitable for families for a relaxed weekend on the water, a cabin cruiser with a galley and wet cell for an extended vacation at sea, or a fascinating mega yacht - you'll find it all at boot Düsseldorf. To help you find your way around the exhibition halls and boot.de, we have compiled an overview of the boat types here.
Inflatable boats & RIBs The inflatable boat with outboard motor is probably the cheapest way to drive a motorboat. Up to 15 hp engine power you may drive all inflatable boats without a license. In addition, due to the extremely low draft, you can get anywhere, which is why an inflatable boat is often found on larger yachts as a dinghy. Without a rigid hull, such a boat can be folded and fit in the trunk of a car. With some RIBs, however, you could spend a whole weekend on the water.
Sportboats & Runabouts Often used as a tow boat for water skiers or wakeboarders, or to get out to fishing or diving spots, sport boats are very purposeful. These boats are usually easy to trailer and also have shallow draft - other advantages. This class of boats also includes, for example, beautiful retro designs - gentlemen's runners from the 1920s - the main thing is sporty! If the engine has less than 15 hp, a driver's license is not even necessary.
Daxcruiser & Weekender While sport boats may have space below deck mainly for storage of equipment and bags, day cruisers & weekender usually offer the possibility to sleep below deck and often quite comfortably. They also offer protection from bad weather, which makes the boats much more family-friendly and comfortable. Outboards as a drive are rarely found from this class.
Motor yachts & motor cabin boats On a motor cabin cruiser it is possible to live, because this class of boats is characterized by the fact that there is a galley, i.e. a small kitchen, one or more cabins below deck and also a wet cell on board. The dimensions of these boats are correspondingly larger and the motorization is adapted to the weight. Without having to refuel, you can travel several hundred kilometers and are therefore self-sufficient.
Large yachts Ships in this category are an absolute eye-catcher, whether in the harbor or at trade fairs. The equipment is luxurious and elaborately worked and in this order of magnitude there is also space on board for a regular crew that takes care of the ship. However, since such yachts are also extremely expensive, it remains reserved for only a few to call such a ship their own. The collective term large yachts includes maxi, super and mega yachts.
