Due to the independence of the boat you can reach many beautiful places, which are often spared from the big tourist crowds, such as remote islands, white sand beaches, huge cliffs and other isolated places. But also in almost all metropolitan areas you can moor in well located harbours, which are ideal starting points for sightseeing.

Sailing offers a great variety of possibilities
The topic of sailing is extremely broad, so it can be done by young and old as well as by rich and poor. The ways in which the sport is practiced are also very different. Some people find their fulfilment in leisurely sailing from bay to bay to enjoy the tranquillity and recharge their batteries. On the other hand, many others compete in regattas, which are available in almost all sizes. Still others explore the world in this way for years or sail non-stop and sometimes also one-handed around it.

Sailors' community
One other thing that should also be mentioned is the team spirit of the sailors. It is not untypical that when entering a harbour another sailor waits for you at the jetty to throw back the lines. Likewise, people like to have an exchange with each other and pass on tips of nice places or good ideas, it is a family, the family of sailing.

If you have never set foot on a sailboat before, you don't have to take a certificate for this. The offers for sailing along are very numerous and can be taken advantage of almost everywhere. It is possible to sail from a few hours up to whole weeks and months.
