Official, recommended license for sailing yachts with engine and under sail in worldwide voyages (all seas). Prescribed for the navigation of commercially used pleasure boats in worldwide voyages.
Theory The theoretical examination is conducted in writing and, if necessary, orally in the three examination subjects navigation, navigation law and meteorology. In the examination subject "handling of yachts" a compulsory oral examination has to be taken. Extensive and in-depth knowledge of astronomical navigation, international maritime law and tropical cyclones, among other things, must be demonstrated. In addition, the handling of a sextant (measuring, determining, explaining) must be demonstrated. There is no practical examination.

Fitness: Presentation of medical certificate for sport boat license applicants
Reliability: Presentation of a valid motor vehicle driver's license (or certificate of good conduct / waiver for minors)
