Official license to drive sport boats (under motor or sail) under 15 meters in length (without rudder and bowsprit) on the inland waterways, mandatory for vessels under motor with more than 11.03 kW (15 hp).
Theory and Practice The theoretical exam consists of a questionnaire, this tests sufficient knowledge of inland waterway law, seamanship, vehicle handling (sailboat and/or motorboat). In the practical examination, the theoretical knowledge must be transferred and applied on a pleasure boat. Various maneuvers (including the rescue maneuver) and knots must be demonstrated.

Fitness: Presentation of "Medical certificate for sport boat license applicants"
Reliability: Present a valid motor vehicle driver's license (or certificate of good conduct / waiver for minors)
