Official, recommended license for sailing yachts with motor and under sail in coastal sea waters (all seas up to 30 nm and Baltic and North Sea, Channel, Bristol Channel, Irish and Scottish Seas, Mediterranean and Black Sea). Prescribed for the navigation of commercially used recreational boats in the near-coastal sea waters.
Theory and Practice The theoretical examination is conducted in writing and, if necessary, orally in the four examination subjects navigation, seamanship, navigation law and meteorology. Extensive knowledge must be demonstrated. In the practical examination, the theoretical knowledge of sailing a yacht in coastal waters must be implemented and applied. In addition to the compulsory tasks (rescue maneuvers, radar, nautical chart and sailing/driving), selected maneuvers and other skills must be demonstrated.

16 years and older,
Possession of Maritime sport boating pilot's licence,
Proof of 1000 nautical miles on yachts in coastal sea waters (after acquiring SBF-See) as watch leader or his representative.
