The "DSV-Jüngstensegelschein" is only valid for young sailors in selected limited areas under expert guidance and serves as proof of qualification for the operation of age-appropriate sailboats. It becomes invalid upon reaching the age of 17. The examination for the youngest sailor's certificate is taken by the examination commission of a club or by a DSV-approved sailing school according to the admission requirements and examination contents of the DSV young sailor's certificate regulations.
DSV basic windsurfing license The "DSV-Segelsurfgrundschein" is the basic certificate of competence in the sport of windsurfing. It is handed out to all applicants from the age of seven after a successful theoretical and practical examination. The applicant shows in the examination that he has mastered the necessary practical and theoretical skills and abilities for windsurfing and knows the relevant sailing rules. The holder of the DSV basic windsurfing license is authorized to surf on suitable inland and coastal waters, as long as no official sport boat license is required.
