X Shore presents a revolutionary new boat at boot Düsseldorf!
X Shore, the Swedish premium manufacturer of 100% electrically powered boats, is taking on a pioneering role in shipbuilding with the most modern e-boats on the market. With the new Eelex 6500, which X Shore will present at the world's largest boat show "boot" in Düsseldorf from 19th to 27th January 2019, the Swedish company is at the forefront of climate-friendly boats in terms of technology and design.
Eelex 6500 now available - a milestone for X Shore! The Eelex 6500 is a 6.5 metre long open boat or dinghy that celebrated its worldwide market launch in Düsseldorf on 19th January 2019. The Eelex models have a higher performance and are made of more sustainable materials. As the most technically advanced e-boats on the market, they stand out with exceptional design and environmental friendliness.
Speeds up to 40 knots The Eelex boats can reach top speeds of 40 knots. They are among the few e-boats on the market that can reach a cruising speed of 25 knots. At slower speeds, they can travel up to 100 nautical miles on a single charge. Excellent acceleration and speed combined with exceptional range are key to the success of X Shore boats and what makes X Shore unique. The boats are practical, smart and elegant. With their Scandinavian-style design, they blend in perfectly with their surroundings. They also feature a modular interior. Their hull is inspired by the shape of the South American electric eel and as a result has particularly low friction when gliding through the water.
Cooperation with Rolls Royce X Shore's commitment to lead the way in efficient and climate-friendly high-tech boats has led to collaborations with some of the world's leading companies in this field. As a world leader in propeller design and hydrodynamics, Rolls Royce has more than 50 years of experience. This is why Rolls Royce develops X Shore's propulsion and propeller system at its own hydrodynamic research centre with two cavitation tunnels. As one of the world's most respected brands in boatbuilding, Storebro ensures that X Shore boats are of the highest quality. The Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg (Sweden) supports X Shore in researching future propulsion systems as well as faster and more energy-efficient hulls.
