Next Generation Technology Electric and alternative drives are on the up
In the early 20th century, diesel engines gradually began to replace steam engines used on ships until then. The early diesel engines had their problems, especially with manoeuvring. Before reliable and flawless gearboxes were developed, which was not the case until the 1950s, a diesel engine had to be switched off and reversed in rotation in order to drive backwards.
Evolution and revolution. What Michael Frauscher recently promised as development guidelines for his own models, could also apply to many other new motorboat models.
However, to do justice to Michael Frauscher, the Austrian boat builder (Hall 6, Stand A05) has always been at the forefront of innovative boat building for years.
The Austrian shipyard has announced no less than three new models for 2019. The Frauscher 1017 GT Air is the first of them and celebrates its world premiere at boot Düsseldorf. It offers even more space on board than the corresponding cabin model 1017 GT, plus some sophisticated details on top. But the outstanding handling characteristics prevail, as the hull remains identical. "We see ourselves as the engineers of emotions," says Michael Frauscher. "In our product development, we concentrate equally on technical innovations and on design."

Sailing Yacht Evolution 2019 - Modern design, fast cruising & comfortable sailing
The evolution in yacht design which we have seen over the past few years is being driven forward consistently by the major shipyards. The modern boats are easy to operate and offer enormous potential in terms of sailing performance due to large sail areas and high righting moments. At the same time, they do not neglect comfort.
Clean deck layouts are complemented by large lounge areas and extensive technical equipment in the cockpit area and below decks. Sophisticated lighting concepts make the living space appear bright and airy. The yachts are designed to make cruising under sails fast and comfortable, while the boat transforms into a perfect home once moored in the harbour. But there are also individual concepts that stand out from the mainstream.
Yachtcharter Trends 2019 Greece booming, Caribbean and Turkey make a comeback
For all those who do not call a boat their own, chartering a yacht is an increasingly popular option to spend a holiday on board. Yacht charter is en vogue with German as well as international holiday makers, and the possibilities for travellers are becoming more diverse again.
This is true not only for the holiday destinations but also for the various options and formats how to create your perfect boating holiday. Dies gilt nicht nur, was die Reisetziele angeht, sondern auch bei den Angebots- und Urlaubsformen. At least, bookings and offers for 2019 indicate this.
Sometimes it's not the big crowd-pullers but the small moments and fine exhibits that fascinate at boot Düsseldorf. Exciting displays, innovative ideas: The 50th boot in Düsseldorf offers plenty of surprises to see and be amazed by, in all 16 exhibition halls. Everyone will find their personal highlight in the halls of the fair.
Let's be honest: Cruising on the road like Easy Rider used to, and then stopping at the beach, taking the surfboard and off into the waves. Who wouldn't like that? You can do that, sustainably and without a big Harley. Rayvolt combines the style of the big motorcycle brand as an e-bike with the lifestyle of the surfer scene - all in the spirit of the Catalan company founders. Design elements made of copper and leather, plus the look of a chopper from the 1960s and 1970s make the Rayvolt "Beach Cruiser" an eye-catcher in vintage style located directly at the pool in Hall 8a (E28). The bike with the charm of the past and the technology of the future is available as a pedelec or e-moped and of course offers the option of mounting a holder for the surfboard on the frame.
