boot Düsseldorf and Deutscher Segler-Verband (DSV) collect for Ukraine

With the support of Deutscher Segler-Verband (DSV), boot Düsseldorf is initiating a fundraising campaign in favour of Ukrainian sailors.

Exhibitors at the trade fair as well as sailing clubs and private donors can take part in the collection for both donations and donations in kind. Donations can also be made via a QR-Code created especially for the campaign. DSV has set up an account, which can be paid into with the reference "Help for Ukrainian Sailing Federation".

In addition to financial donations, specific donations of kind - new and used - are also being collected for the sailing clubs at the Black Sea. Most of the boats, sails and other equipment were destroyed in bombing raids against the sailing clubs.

This is where the logistics partner of the call for donations comes into play. The company Kühne+Nagel is setting up a storage container at the Düsseldorf exhibition centre opposite Hall 6 at Gate 1. The materials can be handed in there from 2 January until the end of boot on 28 January 2024. All donors are requested to deliver their donations by themselves.

Kühne+Nagel will transport the donations in kind to Kyiv. The donations will then be handed over to the President of the Ukrainian Sailing Federation, Eugen Moyseenko, personally. The Ukrainian Sailing Federation has compiled a list of the boats and materials that are most urgently needed for this campaign. This list will be available here shortly.

Please note that the following information is entered on the delivery note for donations in kind: Age, condition and purchase price of the donated item.

If the item is as good as new, it is sufficient to enclose the purchase invoice. If the donations are taken from private assets or business assets and are not new, the withdrawal value or the market price must be recognised - further documents that can be used to determine the value, such as an expert opinion or comparative prices of items of similar value, are required.
