Hands-On Workshop on Yachtelectric | 24., 26. January
A sailing yacht’s electrical system is arguably the area that evolves the fastest over time. Just a few years after launch, there’s often a desire for additional features, and with used boats, it frequently becomes apparent that certain devices are already outdated. New onboard electronics also often place higher demands on the power supply. Sooner or later, every sailor must therefore take a close look at the boat’s electrical system.
As the level of equipment increases, so does the complexity of the system. Anyone planning modifications or upgrades is quickly faced with the question of where to start. At the same time, the variety of devices is constantly growing, as are the options for generating electrical power while underway. The use of lithium batteries is also increasingly coming into focus.
