Live demonstration: What to do in the event of water ingress?
In addition to the exciting reports of sailing adventures, the important topic of water ingress will be discussed in detail on stage and live at the water basin. The 8-meter yacht "Meri Crash" serves as a test object. Visitors can put their skills to the test and repair the leak by simulating a real leak.
From node sessions to air rescue
The Association of German Sports Schools (VDS) supervises the daily knotting session and demonstrates to visitors how to handle the ropes so that the right knots hold at sea and can also be released again. Safety on the water is not neglected either. Water rescuers from the DLRG and DRK will be demonstrating how people are rescued on the water and from the air. The ADAC shows how to use life jackets in emergency situations. In short: boot Sailing School presents the entire spectrum for getting started in sailing and guarantees unforgettable and magical moments for visitors in Hall 15.
Celebrity Cup
Two celebrities - with or without sailing experience - compete together with Opti sailors from the SVNRW member clubs in the Promi Cup. Who will finish first - who will go swimming? The focus here is on having fun.
