HanseYachts AG introduces new motorboat brand: RYCK Yachts
RYCK Yachts - new motorboat brand by HanseYachts AG
HanseYachts AG presents RYCK - its third motorboat brand with the label "Made in Germany". Developed in cooperation with yacht designer Bill Dixon in Greifswald, the new brand is aimed specifically at sports-minded skippers and crews in the weekender segment.
The first model of the new brand is the RYCK 280, which combines superior riding characteristics with a stylish design to meet a wide range of customer requirements. The RYCK can be configured in a highly variable way to bring out the best performance possible for the individual application.
Performance and comfort features of the new RYCK 280
Deck: A walkaround with a continuous running width of 25 cm in combination with the railing and the high freeboard ensures a high level of safety. The stepless cockpit offers a great deal of space and freedom of movement and, in addition to the standard L-shaped bench seat, can also be equipped with a table, cooling compartments and a wetbar including grill or stove. Optionally, the backrest of the bench seat can be folded down to create a second berth next to the sun lounge on the foredeck. With the T-top and two additional sun sails, the entire deck can be shaded, while optional fishing rod holders and a tow bar for water skiing also appeal to active crew members. The large swim platform with swim ladder and a stern shower with hot and cold water allows for carefree swimming fun. A bowsprit with integrated anchor arm and an electric windlass guarantee safe and comfortable anchor maneuvers.
Interior: Below deck, the customer can choose between a modernly furnished cabin with a large double berth and a large storage space for watersports equipment. A separate wet cell is standard. The large windows in the deck structure allow plenty of natural light and fresh air.
Hull: The stepped hull ensures the best rough water characteristics, while the negative stem underlines the modern and elegant design of the RYCK 280.
Helm station and engine: Well protected by a stylish windshield, the ergonomic helm station can be enhanced with a Glassbridge-Dashboard including two 12-inch plotters. Mercury Verado outboards ensure the necessary power, with a choice of 250, 300 or 350 hp.
Sales Director Dr. Jens Gerhardt: "The very name of HanseYachts AG originates from the extremely successful alliance of the Hanseatic League, in which Greifswald was also represented. We continue the shipping, trading and boatbuilding traditions of this city and are constantly developing them further. The first waterway that the new boats of RYCK Yachts will sail is the Ryck. Through this river our boats will not only reach the Greifswalder Bodden as part of the Baltic Sea, they will also be sold all over the world. The choice of name not only closes another circle for us, because it is also a declaration of loyalty from HanseYachts to this region."
Product Manager Andrea Zambonini: "Our customers can look forward to a true multi-talent with an outstanding design that will enrich the powerboat industry. The RYCK 280 is easy to maneuver and also trailerable, making it a flexible weekender in near and far areas."
With the newly developed 3D configurator, all selection options of the RYCK 280 can be discovered playfully and assembled individually on the RYCK website.
The name RYCK of the new motorboat brand is based on the river of the same name that flows through Greifswald and connects HanseYachts AG's main production site to the Baltic Sea. Since the company was founded in 1990 on the northern bank of the Ryck River, HanseYachts AG has developed into one of the world's largest manufacturers of series-produced sailing and motor yachts.
HanseYachts AG's portfolio thus currently includes seven brands, of which Hanse, Dehler and Moody cover the sailing yacht segment, while FJORD, SEALINE and RYCK serve the powerboat market. The luxury catamaran brand Privilège produces sailing and motor yachts in Les Sables d'Olonne, France.
