Back to Business. As the world’s largest platform for the watersports industry, boot Dusseldorf takes the safety and wellbeing of all visitors, exhibitors and employees very seriously. Although boot in 2022 may look a little different, it will be no less exciting. The show is set to be held across 17 trade fair halls in accordance with the valid hygiene and infection protection regulations. To make sure that you feel completely safe at boot 2021, Messe Düsseldorf has developed comprehensive standards for visitors, exhibitors and employees. These have been devised in close coordination with the authorities. #PROTaction

Feel Safe - Hygiene-Guidelines from Messe Düsseldorf
boot tickets: available exclusively online. It’s all quite simple. Just select the day you want to visit, register and then you can easily print out your entrance ticket at home.
Getting there safely by bus, train and car. Your e-Ticket is also a return ticket for travelling to the trade fair via bus or rail. If you come to the trade fair by car, it is recommended that you book a ticket for the car park online. Shuttle buses run from the car parks to the fairground.
A spacious venue to welcome you. With almost 220,000 square metres of space over 17 trade fair halls, we can safely accommodate over 20,000 visitors each day. Spacious entrance and reception areas guarantee a speedy entry.
We’re keeping a careful eye on proceedings. Our on-site service, security staff and video monitoring ensure that visitor congestion is prevented and the hygiene regulations are complied with.
Breathe freely. When seated at a stand, stage or restaurant, you may remove your mask. You can also remove your mask in the outdoor areas.
Fresh air in the halls. Our ventilation systems ensure that the air in the halls is replenished regularly. The quality of the new, inbound air is the same as the outdoors. All systems are inspected regularly by independent hygiene assessors to ensure they are in a perfect working condition.
Experience the exciting stage programme safely at a distance. You can also enjoy our fascinating and informative stage programme. Provided that you keep good distance and wear a mask upon entering, you can find your assigned seating places, then remove your mask and watch the programme unfold before you.
View the portfolio of boats! The doors, windows and portholes of the boats must be permanently kept open. This ensures that they too benefit from the fresh air circulating in the trade fair halls. Viewing smaller boats while wearing a mask is only permitted alone or with persons that are also part of your household. Larger yachts can be visited by several visitors at a time. These visitors must also wear masks. The exhibitors will ensure that the boats are cleaned regularly.
Surfing, diving and canoeing. You can still let off some steam at boot by going mad for your favourite sport: Just reserve your personal surfing or diving session by booking a slot. All equipment is disinfected after each use.
Eating and drinking at tables without masks. The general regulations for the gastronomy sector that we know as our ‘new normal’ also apply at the onsite restaurants, catering outlets and exhibitors’ stands. Please register and only take your masks off once you have sat down.*
We wear masks. The watersports community sticks together and we look after each other. Therefore, we wear masks to protect all participants in the trade fair.
We keep our distance. You can still enjoy all the highlights of boot at a safe distance of 1.5 metres. Markings and routed pathways provide excellent guidance for finding your way at boot 2021.
We ensure excellent hygiene. Disinfectant dispensers for hand hygiene are available in all halls and rooms. We will clean all exposed surfaces regularly.
Greet people without shaking hands. We all already know that you don’t need to make physical contact to be polite. Your acquaintance will be happy to receive a friendly nod or a cheerful wave rather than a handshake.
Abide by the correct etiquette and sneeze into your elbow. If you have to sneeze or cough, please ensure that you are at least 1.5 metres away from other people and are turned away from them.
Leaflets to take away. At boot 2021, we will present you with informative material from the trade fair. Feel free to take the brochures: just make sure you take them with you!
We’re happy to help. If you are taken ill, our on-site medical services can provide advice and offer treatment. If you have any Covid-19 symptoms before the trade fair, we ask that you do not attend boot 2021 in order to protect the community.
We look forward to welcoming you to our exhibition centre soon.
Of course, the hygiene and infection protection concept of Messe Düsseldorf is not cast in stone! In accordance with future developments and legal requirements, we will continuously update the concept and our information offerings and thus keep them up to date.
