The Board of Directors of Arcona Najad Yachts AB have decided to split the well-known Swedish brands into two separate companies: Arcona Yachts AB and Najad Yachts AB
Arcona’s operation will continue to be run by the same team as today led by CEO, Urban Lagnéus. For Najad, Fredrik Malmqvist will be new CEO.
“We have carefully considered different strategic options for both brands in order to best accelerate their growth. Our conclusion is that both companies will have a better ability to grow by being run as two separate entities with a 100% focus on each brand.” – comments Håkan Eksandh, owner of Arcona Yachts AB and Najad Yachts AB.
Najads new CEO Fredrik Malmqvist is an Engineer with a Masters degree from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (KTH) and currently holds the position of Chief Product and Marketing Officer at the Nasdaq listed FinTech, Qliro.

I believe that Fredrik’s strategic and commercial mindset coupled with a huge passion for the yachting industry, is a highly unique and fortunate combination. Fredrik Malmqvist will assume the role as CEO for Najad at the beginning of September 2022.
