YYachts has broadened its management team with the appointment of Christian Möller from Hamburg. The 56-year-old is now responsible for production, purchasing and project management. Möller has already proven that he knows a thing or two about sailing at numerous regattas. Among others, he was a member of the crews of the "I-Punkt", the "Diva" and the "Rubin" and participated in many regattas around the globe. With his own light-displacement cruiser, Möller and his wife undertook long tours in Europe and the Caribbean. He understands very well how to move a yacht with a small crew and thus also the philosophy of YYachts.
Christian Möller comments on his involvement as follows: "It has always been my dream to be involved in building exciting yachts. YYachts is a fantastic brand and the concept of reducing the yachts without neglecting comfort is just perfect." With his expertise, the Hamburg native would like to further improve the structures at the yard in particular to support the yard's growth.
Möller, who previously held management positions at various companies - including in the plastics processing industry - will share the shipyard's management with Dirk Zademack, who will henceforth focus primarily on sales, marketing, product development and administration.
Dirk Zademack, Managing Partner at YYachts, is very positive about the cooperation with Christian Möller: "With Christian Möller we have gained a very experienced managing director and at the same time a very successful sailor. The fact that he combines these two talents with us will position YYachts even better in the market."
