Back to Business. As the world’s largest platform for the watersports industry, boot Dusseldorf takes the safety and wellbeing of all visitors, exhibitors and employees very seriously. Although boot in 2022 may look a little different, it will be no less exciting. The show is set to be held across 17 trade fair halls in accordance with the valid hygiene and infection protection regulations. To make sure that you feel completely safe at boot 2022, Messe Düsseldorf has developed comprehensive standards for visitors, exhibitors and employees. These have been devised in close coordination with the authorities. #PROTaction
Gates wide open - but with proof. As a visitor at the boot you are welcome with full vaccination protection or recovery. Together with your identity card or passport your proof is complete. As exhibitors and service providers attend for professional reasons, they can also present a negative test result in accordance with the Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Nevertheless, we appeal to all trade fair participants to be vaccinated in order to ensure the greatest possible safety and to overcome the pandemic as quickly as possible.
The right timing. The second vaccination must be at least 14 days ago, the positive PCR test result at recovery between 28 days and 6 months. For exhibitors and service providers with negative tests, rapid tests must be no longer than 24 hours ago, PCR tests no longer than 48 hours ago. Results must be from an official testing site; self-tests brought in will not be accepted. Done? Here we go.
It all depends on the right apps. For fast, smooth entry, it's up to you, too. Enter your proof of full vaccination or recovery into the Corona Warning or CovPass app. The same applies to exhibitors and service providers with a negative test result.
Your online ticket, please. Personalised admission tickets are exclusively sold online for each day. For you this means: no waiting at the ticket counters, no cash payments. And for us: a constant eye on the number of visitors present.
Safely to your destination. Buses and trains run to the fair with increased frequency, are cleaned more frequently, medical masks are mandatory and 3G (vaccinated, recovered or tested) applies. When travelling by car, book your parking ticket online for hygiene reasons.
Enough room for everyone. With more than 300,000 m² of exhibition space, spacious entrance and waiting areas, wide aisles, marked paths similar to road traffic, distance markings and attentive staff.
Safety counts. Which means day tickets exclusively available online, counting visitor registrations and video monitoring. To regulate the capacity and flow of people at all events – for your protection.
Effective infection protection. Sanitiser dispensers located in our entrances, halls, hall transitions and toilet facilities are ready for frequent use. And highly exposed surfaces are regularly cleaned and disinfected for you.

First aid. Our medical service at every trade fair. Highly skilled – and always ready to assist. If you should show cold symptoms, please stay at home for the protection of the community.
More room to spread out. Whether at your exhibition stand, in well-ventilated conference cubicles without ceilings or throughout the entire exhibition centre. Also for successful business. Only the stand party is missing this time. It‘s good that you are here.
Brochures to go. Please continue to help yourself to the information material on display - without putting it back. Everything for hygiene.
Let it taste good. The following applies to the trade fair catering: Access only with complete vaccination or recovery - in this way we create additional safety. Show proof and identification document - and then: Enjoy your meal!
For everyone‘s protection: Please wear a medical mask, FFP2 or KN95/N95 mask (no visors or fabric masks). And although you might not be able to see it, we are smiling at you behind our masks.
Breathe freely. At the seat with 1.5 meters distance to the neighbor and in catering establishments you can do without your respiratory protection.
By far the best idea. Though we ask you to maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 metres from other trade fair participants, you will still see the latest trends up close and personal.
Networking without physical contact. Even though you might be delighted at seeing other people again or closing a successful business deal – please forego shaking hands and physical contact.
“Bless you.” – for the sake of yourself and others, please sneeze or cough into the crook of your arm. Even better, do so while maintaining a great distance of least one metre or turning away from others.
Experience the exciting stage programme safely at a distance. You can enjoy our fascinating and informative stage programs on fixed seats 1.5 meters apart, even without a protective mask. Please use mouth-nose protection only when entering.
View the portfolio of boats! The doors, windows and portholes of the boats must be permanently kept open. This ensures that they too benefit from the fresh air circulating in the trade fair halls. Viewing smaller boats while wearing a mask is only permitted alone or with persons that are also part of your household. Larger yachts can be visited by several visitors at a time. These visitors must also wear masks. The exhibitors will ensure that the boats are cleaned regularly.
Surfing, diving and canoeing. You can still let off some steam at boat by going mad for your favorite sport:Just reserve your personal surfing and diving session by booking a slot. All equipment is disinfected after each use.
We look forward to welcoming you to our exhibition centre soon.
Of course, the hygiene and infection protection concept of Messe Düsseldorf is not cast in stone! In accordance with future developments and legal requirements, we will continuously update the concept and our information offerings and thus keep them up to date.
