Sunbeam Yachts presents the new flagship of the shipyard, the new 14.75 metre long Sunbeam 46.1. The 46.1 is designed as a luxurious long distance cruiser that can also be sailed with a small crew.
The new Sunbeam adopts the design language of the 40.1 and, like this one, was designed and planned by the J&J Design engineering office of the Slovenian brothers Japec and Jernej Jakopin. Classic stern, laminated foot rail, positive sheer and a vertical stern-post give the 46.1 a classic look.
Good sailing performance This is complemented by contemporary details such as double steering system, fold-out bathing platform and spacious aft cockpit with large table. New for a Sunbaeam is the striking mainsail arch with integrated sprayhood and fixed window over which the main sheet is guided and to which a cockpit tent can be attached. The narrow stern with softchains and the carefully designed hull section of the 46.1 offer high efficiency in all weather conditions and ensure good sailing performance.
single-handed sailable The slim waterline of the Sunbeam 46.1 additionally increases performance in light winds and the high ballast content of the L keel (35%) provides extreme stability and a high righting moment. All sails can be operated from the cockpit. The main sheet is guided via two mounting brackets on the mainsail arch below deck via stainless steel tubes on both sides into the cockpit. The main sheet winches and stoppers are mounted on both sides of the cockpit and are easy for the helmsman to operate, making the Sunbeam 46.1 sailable single-handed.

High quality Below deck, the 46.1 exclusively features real wood veneers in African teak or oak. The entire interior is of elegant design and excellent craftsmanship and specially designed for use on long journeys. The large U-shaped pantry offers a large universal cupboard for microwave, washing machine, freezer or optional dishwasher. The spacious saloon offers room for a generous l-shaped dining area with table to port and a berth and separate navigation corner to starboard. Opposite the kitchen there is a guest toilet and a separate washroom for more comfort on board. Two large deck hatches and four side windows provide a bright atmosphere and excellent ventilation below deck.
Comfortable cabins The Sunbeam 46.1 foredeck features a spacious owner's cabin with a luxurious en-suite bathroom with separate shower and a large double bed (2.00m x 1.80m). A large wardrobe and closed side cupboards provide comfortable space and optimal storage space. Three deck hatches and two side windows also provide excellent ventilation. Like the other cabins, the owner suite of the 46.1 is of course soundproofed to ensure maximum peace and quiet below deck even when the engine is running. In the aft, the 46.1 offers two further spacious double cabins, each with a deck hatch and two hull windows and a headroom of 1.90 metres. The 2.20 m x 1.60 m wide double beds, closed side shelves and one wardrobe each complete the comfort below deck of the 46.1.
