Ship ahoy! At the boot 2016, 1,550 sailing boats and cruisers are going to lower their anchors – more than at any other boat trade fair in the world.

In the Motorboat Centre in hall 10, gather information on what is just right for your licence-free entry into the sport or which trends there are on the water this summer. Speak with boat builders, sea bears and sail makers. Listen to high-class lectures and reports on the experiences of well-known sailors and let yourself be inspired by a new set of cruises.

Wind machines provide for a good breeze in the sailing school located in hall 14. On the large swimming pool, both the young and old can try out sailing and learn tricks and tips from experienced sailing instructors.

Experience the pure outdoors.

In the sports fishing centre in hall 12, learn how to catch the biggest fish. You can find out how it feels to pull in a blue marlin or learn the delicate technique of fly fishing. Directly across the way, in hall 13, a 90-metre long river winds through the mountains. Here, you can test canoes and kayaks or undertake your first attempts to paddle with the whole family.

The “Beach World” in hall 1 is the place to be for trendsports enthusiasts. Here, there are boards and kites of the coming season, and on water with an area of 1,000 m2, high-class shows and competitions are being offered: Indoor stand-up paddling championships, indoor skim jam, wakeboard show and much more! Those who would like to be active themselves go to the skimboard track, try stand-up paddling or test their limits wakeboarding. International stars of the trendsports scene are at your side for advice and support.

From a fishing trip to charter boats all the way to surfing holidays: At boot Düsseldorf, you can simply plan any holiday on the water. In the Cruise Pavilion in hall 14, don’t just dream of a cruise on the Caribbean, but book one right from the event organiser!

Among divers, boot Düsseldorf has been well marked on the calendar for a while. On the continuously animated stage, you can expect a diverse programme for all divers, re-entrants, and novices.

In addition, the “try-dive pool” and a large diving tower offer the ideal conditions to test equipment live or hold your nose under the water for the first time.
